About James:  I moved to the Seattle area in 2005 from Houston Texas.  It only took me 10 years to get here, traveling around the country as a cement mason. 

We bought our house in 2009 believing the media reports that we were close to the bottom of the housing market.  Now, three years later, we know that we still aren’t even close to the bottom.  So we were in the rut that many underwater homeowners are in.  Go to work, pay the house payment and keep making the bank money instead of building a solid financial future for my family.  I knew there must be a better way.
